Probate & Estate Planning
A Will is what directs a probate court on how a person desires their property and assets to be distributed upon death.

Power Of Attorneys can be general (meaning give another person the authority to act on one’s behalf for several matters) or specific (meaning give another person the authority to act on one’s behalf for a limited purpose (i.e. to sell a property)).

Health Care Power Of Attorneys can give another party (generally a spouse or child) the authority to act on one’s behalf in case they ever become so ill that they can not make the decisions themselves. There can also be directives made by the author stating their exact desires (i.e. to provide no life support)

Sometimes two people, generally spouses, will agree to make “Wills” that become irrevocable upon the death of either party. These are referred to as “Contracts to wills”.
